Tina - we almost gave back the sausage dog as well for peeing in the house. She didn't adjust well immediately and was pretty shellshocked by all the shuffling around. She had already been returned twice and was on her last chance. After three months I started carrying her like a sack of taters, watching her until she peed, and forcing her (sitting on her) to get pet. She was always crying and had perfected the "I'm going to die" yelp. FINALLY, huck adopted her as one of his bytches and she became normal. But she still has scars, old non-set broken bones, severe arthritis, bad teeth, missing rear foot pads, and does not like yellow labs (the house she was taken from had a yellow that was constantly attacking her). But now that she's hucks pet, she's the perfect dog. I even shot a couple chukar over her last saturday, she's on the JV team for hunting, but still loves it. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/posted.php?id=1452996909&share_id=55318528882&comments=1#s55318528882

"Hi Tina – I just stopped up to see you with Miya. We’ve been struggling with Miya. I haven’t been sleeping, and this morning she peed in our bed and I just had her outside. We’re really overwhelmed with her right now. JT and I are surrendering her to Last Hope Inc., a non-euthanizing organization who finds good homes for dogs (my sister got her dog from there). I wanted to let you know and say good-bye to her, but they had to take her today because they have a home for her. I am completely distraught over this. I really wish I could keep my sanity and keep her too."

I was asking the dude about that. I told him that I create quasi-complex budget programs in excel and wondered if pages could handle that AND what is the learning curve with this thing. His response made me thing he wasn't really familiar with that, so I'm so glad you wrote that about Numbers as I was thinking of trying to make the switch (time consuming!) I'm thinking it might be best for me to get excel loaded on (word sucks and pages looks easy and more user friendly, so i'm totally making that switch.)

Actually all of the issues in Seattle were hotly contested. I think they weren't tracked nationally because Washington doesn't contribute to the national conservative media's attempt to establish certain storylines such as scorecard on Obama, hating gay marriage, opposition to public health option, or tax revolt.

Pelosi and Reid are so "Not Left" They barely even make good moderates and certainly not progressive. When you think Left think Kucinich or Frank. Left would advocate single payer health care, break up the "too big to fail" banks, pass the employee free choice act, get us out of both Iraq and Afhganistan. I don't think either Pelosi or Reid could get elected in Seattle. For some reason no media tracked Washington. Seattle mayor lead is a lawyer and 15 year veteran of envrionmental advocacy. The moderate republican got trounced for King county exec (by a very moderate democrat) The statewide "All but marriage" gay rights bill passed, the state wide tax cutting intiative failed. The Seattle low income housing tax levy is passing. (we only do mail in ballots so we have to wait for results.)
