In my spare time, right, Ray? ;-) You should have heard me whining this morning at 5:30 on the way to the hospital, when I saw the early morning roadies out..realized at that moment, I've become a side-swiping, coffee swilling commuter, outofmyway..;-)

Man, the 10 year reunion: I would love to race! The circumstances of this summer have not allowed much over a short 2 mile run. Thus, I know that having the fitness base for a March race would not be there. HOWEVER...I miss the days of uber fitness. Family comes first, but down the road, I plan on getting back into all three sports. "You don't know what you've got until it's gone"...:-)

Tina, true. From the staff perspective, the worry is that the patient rips out his lines, bleeds, or takes a swing at the staff. When you are responsible for 7-8 other patients needs during the shift, also trying to work with a disruptive or violent pt w/o harm to either the pt or staff is a real challenge..they don't teach you that one in n-school.

Yo! softrider -- I don't think they are particularly popular down here but I like to find indie type music on smaller labels. It takes some work but the payoff is large. I enjoy their music and have the live acoustic version of "Walking With A Ghost" from Neil Young's "The Bridge Collection" which is his school project he does in Mountainview, CA. for the past 20 years to benefit young kids. He asks great talent to play each year and strongly suggests they keep it 'simple' and acoustic. If you like hearing the real muscial skills of great performers then please do google The Bridge Collection. Very cool you have known the twins. That must be satisfying to have seen them grow!!

Incredible difference. A portion of the mountain broke off and slid down - wiping out the town of Frank, in 1903. http://gsc.nrcan.gc.ca/landslides/photos_high/frank_slide.jpg

KP - I didn't realize Tegan and Sara were popular down there. I used to work with their dad, and we lived across the street from each other. I knew them from when they were about 13 until about 18 - when Neil Young signed them to his label. I had a hard time telling them apart and would just say ~Tegan~ to see which one answered. Good times. I'm not a big fan of their music, but they get a lot of airplay on the CBC. Small world.

Lance is going to be riding for "The Shack"???? I ride by a RS store everyday on the way to work. I have stopped there a couple of times. It's like stepping back in time to 1977. Not to mention that the sales staff are not the brightest bulbs on the tree. I have always had to go to the manager to get a question answered. RS has a long way to go to burnish its reputation. I'm guessing they are hoping Lance can do that.

Not to get technical, Jon, but Watsonville and Gilroy are not exactly neighbors. There is a mountain between them. A great place to go for a long walk to get away from pesky relatives. Specifically, Mt. Madonna Park. Or you can go a bit further and take a nice quiet walk on one of the many beaches in Santa Cruz county. La Selva is the closest to Watsonville. I think.
