I offered her a place to stay, like last year. I reminded her about the vicious dog-beasts and evil chickens. In return, she said that although she and her man will be out of town this week, that I can crash at her house in June Lake the night before the triathlon. She reminded me not to leave any food in my car and to lock the doors to deter the sneaky resident bear. Love the eastside !

We learned that my paternal grandparents had the last name, Blanchette-Dickinson and that they originally were from Quebec! They immigrated down to Rhode Is. and then out to S.Dak. And I agree with Tina...can't believe they sell that stuff in a hospital! When I used to work at New Line a few years ago, we used to all walk over to the Cedars Sinai hospital cafeteria for lunch every day. It was awesome...cheap food and they had a salad bar, a pasta bar, a sandwich bar and a guy who made fresh pizzas with the toppings of your choice. It was fantastic!
