swoosh! of starlite email: @: Yesterday we drove up to Yosemite, stopped into the ski hut to pick up our winter cache, did a little 4-hour hike, and while hiking put out a smoldering fire ring from which some jackass walked away. I sacrificed all of my clean drinking water, and then filled my camelbak again from the river that was less than 50 yards away to finish it off. So, Yosemite was nice. 'Cept for all the people like that. :-)

So eating options are kind of relative to your desire to travel or where you are staying. If you are up by the race there are restaraunts near the Mauna Lani Bay resort (http://www.shopsatmaunalani.com/) and nice ones at the resort. I like the Hualalai Grille at the Hualalai Resort, Queen Kaahumanu Hwy very much. If you are in Kona then the family would probably enjoy Huggos, LuLus and Bubba Gump. You would Love Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill up on the Kuakini Highway. Some of the best food in town. Then there's the Lava Java for breakfast or lunch and a wave to us on the beach cam :-)

Laura of @ email: @: Tina, in answer to your question, the need for wound care is there because the wound was created when the agressive tumor burst through the skin, and not to bore you or anyone else, ;-) with the medical jargon, there are two possible differential diagnoses of the type of tumor, neither good. But, Mom has a fiesty spirit; when she was in the hospital, some guy (not clergy) kept stopping by her room, wanting to pray over her..she told me that "she wanted to kick him in the shins because he was so annoying!". Classic. Right now, we are about to cook up a big salad and some dead cow. And, thanks, KP, we are hanging in there!
