Its becoming quite a mix. Apparently Jaques de Molay was the last Grand Master of Kinghts Templar. The youth organization of the Masons named after him were formed in Kansas around 1913. The Freemasons themselves had started in the 1300's with two branches Scottish and English and really were stonemasons and engineers. Most of the founding Fathers from virginia were Freemasons. I have heard storied from the 50's and 60's that kids traveling in europe were given their dads Mason pins - which got them invited into members homes. Then there was the whole association in "The Man Who Would Be King" with Rudyard Kipling providing aid to the two vagabounds because they were free masons in foreign lands.

I had posted the comment about Freemasons, for whom I had been a member and told the origins were an anti-catholic movement in Europe. And that my catholic friend had been dissed by them (which was true)Upon quick research, found the opposite. That it was the catholic church that was opposed to freemasonry and forebade membership even up to 1983 "The faithful who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion...."

mixing matter and antimatter would lead to the annihilation of both in the same way that mixing antiparticles and particles does, thus giving rise to high-energy photons (gamma rays) or other particle–antiparticle pairs.

I thought Angels and Demons (the book) was good, but got really, really far-fetched at the end. Not that the rest wasn't complete fiction, but it was like watching Star Wars and all of a sudden they do something that completely violates all the laws of physics and it's obvious even to an idiot like me. The end of the Angels and Demons book was like that.

Ang Lee's take on the differences between the Woodstock generation for his new film, and today's youth "Lee ran a hippie camp to teach the extras the right way to behave and carry themselves. The filmmakers said their hardest task was getting the extras to look like '60s youths. Screenwriter James Schamus -- who heads Focus Features, which is releasing "Taking Woodstock," and who won the 1997 screenplay prize at Cannes for "The Ice Storm" -- said there's a different look to today's young people, with their passion for fitness and disdain for pubic hair. Said Schamus: "When you think about it, a generation of people who weren't fat, who weren't staring at themselves in the mirror all the time, and not shaving everything off down there, it captures the difference of 40 years right there."

Fast SB update: Tried a double feature in 06(ImCda and Imc) and dnf'ed both, came home and decided to go get my EMT certifacation, realized early on the action was in paramedicine not Emt'ing, went to paramedic school, got divorce in semester II(shacked up with gf and ex just didn't understand, go figure), now fat, out of shape, almost a medic, and dreaming of a comeback. Definetly will be volunteering as a medic at IMC and Cda as much as possible.

It's not the highest in SA, that would be Lake Titicaca. There's lots of mountain lakes which makes them all above sea level. Why you would choose KFC in Guatemala is beyond me. You have to open up your world. ;-)

I don't know, it was a freaky and unique lake for some reason. I'm probably wrong because I'm stupid and usually only remember half a story. I'm giving myself 5 minutes to see if I can find anything on the internet about it.....
