I agree with Laura - I don't think there is an actual 'balance'...I mean, how would you define it? How do you keep it without trying to control outside forces? Rather, I think one needs to find a foundation on which to base their life - whatever foundation that may be.

Boop, I don't think there is balance in life. I think that "balance" is a myth, made up by feel-good pseudo-psychologist types in the 1980s so that they could sell self-improvement books. Which is not to say that if something is creating undue havoc or stress in you life that you shouldn't try to fix it or make it better. :-) But, just out of personal experience, whenever I start to think that life is calming down, something happens to dispel me of that notion. :-) Just have to keep rolling..

We talked about sports injury/medicine, specific challenges that male and female Vets might face and the aging athlete. Besides daily discomfort, the healthy mind is my biggest hurdle. My memory of "what it used to be like" is pretty strong. Altering my training to fit reality has been a challenge. I want training to be fun, even if it is difficult. For that to be reality I must have consistency. Hang in there ... you'll be back!

Still, the first thing Jasmine does when she comes in our house is crawl into the living room on her belly! Then, she takes every opportunity to steal bed space. So, they all manage. OMG, I would totally take your dog, G ! We dog-sit for a friend who has a GSP. Jasmine is about 4yo I think and she is sooo sweet. She's a rocket! She's not trained for hunting as far as I know. But she loves to run, which is lucky for us since we have gazillions of public-land acreage in the buttermilks available right off the back gate and she can run in every direction as fast as she possibly can while we stroll with the older dogs :-)

ok G. I'll make a note to stash some hops for you before they go dormant for winter - I love bartering! It's the way life should be!!

yes, that chicken is something. I'm quite bothered by it actually, because as a chick she was my total pal. she used to let me scratch her belly and everything :-(

KP - German Shorthaired Pointers... GSP. Shorties. I ain't got time for dogs that don't have a job. BTW - Huck SLAMMED a point this morning on our run, I find it beautiful! Except I didn't have a shotgun.

Re-post for G: yes, would love some cuttings. I can exchange some hops for them, if you want. Are you making wine with them?
