Super cool ceremony....there were like 100 honorees along with tons of military pomp & circumstance & patriotism. Love that stuff. I met Ret. General Abizaid (sp?) former commander of CENTCOM in Iraq, Louis Freh (sp?) former head of the FBI, a Marine Corps General who gave me a cool USMC coin for my Dad when I told him he's a retired Marine, and a bunch of other interesting people. Then we got treated to a huge fireworks display on the ferry ride back to Manhattan. Seriously fun evening except I've once again proven that I can't walk in heels! Pics to come....

I am now in Judges, one book after Joshua. My head is sorta spinning and not grasping things as well, but I know I'm close to the semesters finish line so I have hope I can still pull it off :-)

Out here our water supply is tainted by pesticides, fertilizer, our air polluted by lawnmower fumes and our overall water supply depleted by frequent watering of stupid lawns. Will generate some watts, and guessing will burn about 3500 calories. No big whoop when you consider a coffeemaker has a 1,500-watt heating element, and the average high-definition TV runs on about 250 watts. I could keep the TV running for about 75min :-)
