Think about it from this perspective: if I could sit in front of the computer and in an instant access every little thing that I thought I'd like to access, or thought I NEEDED to access, I might be compelled to sit in front of my computer A LOT. Definitely much more than I really need to. Rather, knowing that dialup takes a long time to access a lot of things on the internet, sometimes even email, before I plop my ass down in the chair I think, "is this worth the time it is going to take, or, is there something else more worthwhile I could be doing with my time." :-)
