Since losing Ginger, I've become a serial dog petter. Any dog that gets within 10feet of me will be petted. Not all dog owners are appreciative of this--I've had to tell a couple to step away from their dog, he's getting petted. Then they get a treat.

Al - thanks. We are seriously considering Direct T.V. We had it up in Minnesota on the farm, and they are running a promo of $29.00 per month for a year/150 channels. I think we are going to try this experiment for the summer months, and if we really miss the premium channels, at year end, go in that direction.

I do like the idea of sticking it to the man (Time Warner), particularly after the best counter-offer they could come up with (after we pointed out their competition was $75 a month cheaper), was a $15 per month price break if we would commit to a three year contract. I think not. It was worth it to put that digital box on top of their counter and walk out.

When I met him 4 years ago, he had so much anger; he turned his life around and used his energy to show so many of us what living life really means! Last summer I had begun to work with him in the pool to try to re-teach him to swim as he had an entry to go to CAF in October. He was then diagnosed with lung cancer & we had to postpone our plans. Unfortunately, that time never came. I am really going to miss him. Thanks again! :-)

On the subject of cable t.v...we opened our bill from Time Warner and realized that it had jacked up our rate since the introductory period since we moved down here was over. T.W. wants $125 a month for digital cable. Forget that! We took the digital box back this morning and are going off the cable grid. Set the way back machine, Sherman..we are styling rabbit ears..

See here's the thing. There's this intersection outside work that has a crapola of busses driving around and lots of stoopid people that step out in front of em. So this cop was standing on the footpath keeping an eye on the buses and I ride pass by and he steps out in front of me. And I'm all like sweating and my legs are like all massive huge from my eight hours at FTP and I'm all like "DON'T BUZZ MY BURN MANG!!" And he all goes "did you know it's an offence to ride on the footpath? and I'm all like "doode, there's nothing offensive about 20 year old Bianchi steel with Phil Wood high flange hubs" and he's back at me saying "how come you are riding on the footpath" and I'm right back saying "well, when I'm not doing my sweet honey I'm at working making truckloads of cash and I wanna get some value back from my taxes" and he's saying "bikes shouldn't ride on the footpath becuase they impact passenger safety" and I go "well, perhaps therre should be a law banning retards like yerself from bikes becuase I can freekin steer around em no worries" and he goes "do you have a drivers licence?" and I say "do I need one for this sweet bike, but you're prolly right, my quads can be pretty dangerous" and he asks "what's your occupation" and I say "I ride pro track" and he says "you'll be getting an infringement notice in the mail" so I go "well, what the hell ever happened to that formal complaint where a bus driver cut in front on my wife slamming on its breaks causing her to ride into the back of it...YER NEED TO BE DOING MORE PAPERWORK" and he says "have a good day" and I say "you have fun making a differnce in the community" and I'm all like "gawd, no wonder so many people drive cars". SQRN, are you sure it isn't the setting? Try putting on a DVD and see if the picture comes up. Some of those are set-up with multiple inputs or you might have hit the wrong button on the remote so that it's not set on the cable default, etc. I've had guests sheepishly admit that they think they trashed my flatscreen only to find that it's a remote input issue.

Hey Phats! I'm back from Tempe. Went there to help the Team Survivor dragon boat team with their first race ever. They did great for only paddling for 6 months. They raced in the Breast Cancer Survivor division and the Women's Open division. People were commenting that they couldn't believe they've only been together for only a few months based on how they looked. They were close on the BCS category races, but need to work on their endurance.

right on me brutha. I'm gonna have them weld an square iron floor plate to a iron rod or square iron riser. The shape of the riser will match the attaching clamp on my Park bench clamp. I'm thinking I could just leave the riser long and have the clampie part adjust up and down the riser to maximize flexibility. Havta find the clampie arm first in the storage closet. Maybe I'll have the riser go from 45" to 60" adjustability...then take my grinder and round all the edges on the iron peices then spray paint them with some fancy rustolium
