I invite you to open it and then contemplate how you might spend or apply the $ inside for the benefit of others....somehow, somewhere. Research suggests that spending even $5 on someone else makes us happier than spending it on ourselves. Try it:)) Thanks for joining me...in this birthday celebration!" --- i knew that something would appear that would be a good place to give this small amout to. i think the Terry Smutney Memorial Fund would be a good place.

at my clinical assignment, I am taking care of a hospice patient, who is at the end of a long battle with cancer. My clinical instructor explained it this way; nursing midwives help with the transition into life, hospice nurses help with the transition out of life..another form of midwifery, which means "with woman". Think it is going to be a real humbling and educational experience.

So, I'll tell you about the stupidest meth lab I ever visited. Meth labs are sorry affairs in general--utter losers, bottom feeders... One group was cooking in the garage, but they decided it would be much smarter to dig a big hole in the back yard and move the lab underground. They had a hole about 15' deep, about 10' across in the shape of an erlenmeyer flask--moist clay soil. When the cops arrived, they were in the process of setting up in the cave. They would have been dead of asphyxiation from the solvent fumes displacing oxygen, or dead of toxicity from the fumes, or dead from an explosion since burners are part of the process, or dead from a cave-in within 24 hours if they hadn't been discovered. Drug dudes make guys like me seem smart.
