The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), The FBI, and the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it. The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations they conclude that rabbits do not exist. The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit, and they make no apologies. The rabbit had it coming. The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: "Okay! Okay! I'm a rabbit! I'm a rabbit!" Train Safe!

so last night i went to a dinner party at a friend's house. after dinner someone suggested playing a game called the 'paper bag' - the game uses a plain brown paper grocery bag. the goal of each player is to pick up the paper bag using only their teeth while balancing only on one leg. If you lose balance or fall, you're out. After each round (each person trying), the top edge of the bag is cut off (about 1.5-2") and another round begins.

But, the ice fisher guys are still out on the lake! There is open water in places by the shore, and they still persist. Also, over at Honey Lake, there is a car on top of the ice with a chain attached. Some local club is running a contest to bet on what day it will sink into the lake. Crazy Cheeseheads!

there was a young guy here two years ago who joined the Department and went through training. He seemed normal but a bit nurvous during drills. At the end of the summer, he lost his day job for being an ass and moved to Boise. He never turned in his turnouts to the Chief. A couple of months later he made the "sick" mistake of showing up to a fire in our turnouts and tried to explain that he was "helping that Department out". Let's just say he was investigated and found to be a classic firestrater. I'm not sure if he was convicted of setting that fire but the turn outs were returned to us, he was arrested and he is now on pretty much everyone's radar and investigation list for the rest of his life....what a loser

Date: Friday March 6th, 2009 17:14 Comment 177506
E of email: @
the sickness of a fire starter is not so much that fire attracts or is kinda exciting to watch, sorta like fireworks and lightning attract most people. The sickness is that attraction grows within a fire starter until it is uncontrolable and they start fires with huge consequences while fully knowing that good intentioned people are going to rush in and protect lives, property and habitat...and often lose their lives in the process. Fire starters are not healthy people and should somehow be separated from other folks...permanantly

The fire tetrahedron is the rule that in order to ignite and burn, a fire requires three elements: heat, fuel, and an oxidizing agent, usually oxygen. Materials science and logic can examine each of the three elements of fire and also how they interact over time and conditions, including topography, climate and weather. Mix all that together and a 30 year vetran fire investigator can pretty much tell you what a fire starter had for breakfast

Date: Friday March 6th, 2009 16:57 Comment 177502
E of email: @
the things that ignite the fire hardly ever burn and disintigrate cause not enough heat collects at the source. The heat burns everything in it's path but doesn't retrace exactly back to the ignition point because it is already burnt (no more fuel) at a time period of lower heat. The source materials do burn but retain enough of their material nature that a keen investigator can clearly determine the probable source. Plus flame, heat, burn patterns, etc all tell the story or timeline of the fire. The person is caught both from the evidence left at the fire and the evidence they give off after the fire. These type of people are sick in the mind and their disease becomes pretty evident to a keen observer. If they weren't sick in the mind they would not give off clues after the fire to friends, family and sometimes the investigators themselves. Then again, if they weren't sick they wouldn't start the fire to begin with. Once a suspect is found it is fairly easy to track or research their whereabouts at key times. It's not easy to explain how you were determined to be at the start of multiple fires and once that is determined then it all falls like dominos from there. Repeat offenders are most often caught whereas one timers are nearly impossible to catch, let alone convict.

game within a game- member in Little League when you could scratch yer nuts, snot rocket, chew seeds and blow bubbles all afternoon and all the cute chicks would dig ya? that's baseball mang, simple as that. All this big park, skybox, roid chewin', long ball sheat is the bastardization of somethin slow and beautiful. Wrap yer head around cricket fer a real mind fark

Baseball--stupid game, really. You hit the ball, you catch the ball, you throw the ball. Sometimes you run and sometimes you scratch your nuts. Sometimes you spit, preferably tobacco. That about cover it?

Commencing ass to leather...on three, two, one, Computrainer set at 150 watts, erg mode, plan on 60 minutes. Wimpy watts but it's early in the season.
