My Windows Pinball High Score is now 12,607,750 :) Hang in there and something will happen but I think yer right...it takes time...good luck.

tina of @ email: @: Dan, from what I understand, creditors to these businesses require that a liquidation firm take over the business to conduct the actual liquidation. Circuit City had FOUR liquidation firms take over because no one firm was big enough. Basically, the liq. firm buys out the assets (at a major discount of course) and then trys to make money on the liquidation sale. Creditors don't trust the dudes who ran the company into the ground to handle the liquidation themselves.

noel of This one time at Band Camp. . . . email: @: Years ago, a friend and I did Peterborough 1/2 IM, and afterward we go to this bar. It was like 6 pm, but they were about to close, being Sunday and all. There was 1 person in the bar, a "60 something" dude, who was constantly getting paged, and running to the pay phone. The cook was going home, so no food. But the Bartender said she'd stay open for just a bit longer. We ordered beers and begin a game of pool. Then bodybuilder guy & his girlfriend come in, and apparantly we're on "their" pool table. He sets quarters on the table, eager to reclaim his "turf", and impatiently waits for our game to end. Then Biker dude and his "woman" come in, and we're thinking this wasn't a very good idea. So we play Bodybuilder and GF, they ask why were in town, and we explain what the triathlon was. My friend got a slot to IMC, and I placed in my age group. They now think we are Olympians or something, and begin buying pitchers and shots to celebrate. It's announced to the rest of the bar "who we are", that "we won the triathlon", and we're treated like royalty, with pats on the back and handshakes all around. We try to set the record straight, but our "celebrity" status has apparantly awed the bar patrons so much they are deaf to common sense, so we just go with it. Yep, my friend and I, we both won the race. Of course we can't BOTH win, didn't matter, throw logic out the window. Soon Biker dude joins our party, and the bartender is sending over shots. The bar stays open all night. We order in Domino's pizza, find out the old dude is a "pimp" for an escort service, Biker Dude likes to hug people, and Bodybuilder's girlfriend has trouble doing 2 things at once, like standing and talking....but we have 6 new BFF's! And alot of the night was spent arm in arm, standing in a circle, singing some silly song which was part of a "sacred ritual", which included drinking numerous shots of Canadian something or other, which was only drunk in this manner on very special occasions mind you!. Now I don't recall becoming a Canadian citizen that night. Nor did I wake up with any strange tatoos, or escort girls!, (or for that matter, "likes to hug" Biker dude!). But I did have a killer hangover, and a long drive to Buffalo to catch our flight. But I won't soon forget our impromtu party in Peterborough, with a cast of characters so improbable, it could only happen in a bar in Canada.

Scorecard: one ruined jersey one ruined base layer one cracked pink helmet bibs have a little rip in the upper, but seem to be ok one smacked head and stiff neck today tmj joint is sore. I know there are things I can't chew right now. Mashed potatoes for dinner tonight--no chewing! one sore upper arm from the tetanus shot one ripped up left elbow which has puffed up and my have a fracture in the radial head (but I'm thinking positive that it's not) one less ripped up right elbow, not puffed up 3rd and 4th knuckles on the right hand are black and blue and very sore right side lower back muscles seize up at times right lower leg over the fibular head is pretty sore left groin/quad very sore left butt cheek looks like someone took a cheese grater to it and it's swollen up and is turning black/purple/blue. Sitting is not fun. right shoulder muscles sore on some movements neck and upper shoulders pretty sore
