Tina -well...our trip yesterday was pretty much uneventfull. I was supprised to see that we needed to be let in due to the door being locked from the inside and needing to get permission/given access to enter. We simply went in and unloaded our stuff at their front desk and talked briefly with the attendant at the front desk while some other volunteer went through the stuff. We basically left with a thank you and went home. Which is ok I wanted to not exchange names and such. Just an annonymous donation that's all. I explained to Elizabeth on the way how some people are less fortunate and need assistance at times. She still, I think did not understand what that meant but she at least got an idea that its the giving and not the receiving that counts. I just wanted to plant a seed. 8)

Too many things going on to appreciate the snow, rita. I had to really juggle my schedule with the holiday. I'll be better when things are more stable. I did like the snowshoe run but it's the wrong temperature to ski. Friggin' waxless skis were stopping dead in the snow with no glide. I should probably break down and buy some new skis and wax them according to conditions.

It's not so much a nun thing...more like a sister thing. Sisters get to be out and about - not in the little nunnery thing. But yeah, I'm at least sure on it for my time at Bethel to definately explore it more, etc. I still want to be able to do finance/econ stuff to help world poverty in some way and I think I can still do that...it just seems 'right' to me to be in this full commitment thing, ya know? But, if it's not right, I am giving myself three years to figure it out :)

Here's an interesting new rumor - Chicago adjusts Olympic bid, cycling venues The Chicago 2016 Olympic bid committee said in a press conference recently that the worsening economy, combined with rule changes for hosting the Games, have increased the chances that the city will need to cover any budget shortfalls with its pledged US$500 million guarantee. But committee chair Patrick Ryan said that taxpayers would still not have to absorb any costs. . . "It's very disappointing to me that the UCI has stepped in and said the courses we had in Lemont and Palos [Hills] were not hard enough," he said. "The rumor is it will be west of Madison [Wisconsin.] 95% of the events will be in Chicago and [the cycling events] will be three hours away. Without even seeing it they made the decision." . . . http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2008/dec08/dec23news
