THE B¡TCH WAS LYING!!!: PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ¯ Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker. Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car. Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test. Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test. Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction." This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story. The commander added that Todd will face charges; but police have not commented on what those charges will be.

you know what I find really interesting is the Republican voices we are not hearing from right now. The Reps we are hearing from are the scavengers trying to further their singular causes and fighting for the scraps left over from the Bush, Bush years. The real people to watch are the quiet ones that know the current situation is sh!t and will soon arise with truth, passion, conviction, and determination to reform conservatism and the Republican Party into something that can be admired and counted on to lead this country, as opposed to the lying creepy rabble fighting for TV time this month.

As far as being new- the really neat thing I've heard about Obama is that while he was still at Harvard Law he was asked by a history professor at Hackley high school to come give a talk to the students. Obama went to talk and actually said many of the things you hear him say at his speaches and at the Convention this year. That tells me at least he has vision and that he is not the new one, we are new to him.

I think Obama's been very clear, listed his postion on issues, put his proposals in writing months ago. he answered about Wright, and Ayers. Steady, consistent as possible, has the right kind of people around him. I think there is a great deal we don't know about McCain but a lot of extremely suspicious behavior includng: he doesn't disclose his health status, the actual records of his service or imprisonment are sealed or destroyed, his wife's continued investments with Keating until 2002, his reputation as a hothead, lousy pilot, temperment, psychological state as a POW, unwilliness to search for MIA's as a senator, life of exception and status as an admirals son, greater Iraq warhawk than Bush, relationship to Gordon Liddy etc. I actually think he's the one who has gotten a pass in the media.

Never said he did anything wrong in accepting the donations or that it was illegal, just that McCain has a history of being for sale with regards to his political start. It had nothing to do with community improvments or working for a cause. It was wanna be in politics? I have a few million for you to start. Only catch, you move to Arizona. For some reason, that just irks me. It's nice to have tracable roots. It also bugs me that the Clintons went to NY. Why didn't she run for a senate seat in Arkansas? It was good enough to be governor there, yes? In fact, it would have made more sense to me if the Clintons came to Chicago since that's where Hillary is from.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but did ayres ever kill anyone? did he actually bomb anything? sure, he talked about it but did he ever really do anything? back in the 60s, the sds and later offshoot, the weathermen, were considered 'revolutionaries' who talked of overthrowing the 'old guard' and building a new america, not destroying the nation. and that's what they mostly did....talk. the terrorist label was never used back then. even when the few bombings that actually took place occurred, they were done at night when no one was there. funny thing is, he continued to follow his beliefs and work for the underpriveledged instead of selling out like so many other activists of his time. so, anyone who has worked in the poor neighborhoods of south chicago has probably associated with this 'terrorist', right?

Wayne... Chicago politics at it's best. Or I guess politics in general. Everyone is connected to someone unsavory. At least Obama has kept his roots in the south side for good or bad. Unlike McCain where the Keating machine said move to Arizona and we'll give you millions and make you a politician. Same difference in the end? Prolly. Everyone gets to where they are by the guiding hand of someone questionable regardless of who they are.

Buddhism's Wounded Man- The man wounded by an arrow wishes to know who shoots the arrow, from which direction it comes, whether the arrow head is made of bone or iron, whether the shaft is of this kind of wood or another before he will have the arrow removed. This man is likened to those who would like to know about the origin of the Universe, whether the world is eternal or not, finite or not before they will undertake to practise a religion. Just as the man in the parable will die before he has all the answers he wants regarding the origin and nature of the arrow, such people will die before they will ever have the answers to all their irrelevant questions.

Not Randy Scheunemann, Mr. McCain's chief foreign policy adviser; not Nicolle Wallace, his senior communications staff member. It was Amy Strozzi, who was identified by the Washington Post this week as Gov. Roger; Apparently Buddha pled the fifth on origin. Buddhism does not recognise a creator God. How is the origin of the earth and the universe explained in Buddhism? This was one of the questions at which the Buddha remained silent. The Buddha realised that any answer would create much controversy and argument. The Buddha said, “Without cognisable beginning is this samsara (cycle of existence). The earliest point of beings who, obstructed by ignorance and fettered by craving, wander and fare on, is not to be perceived”.
