Lots of reasons, but one of the more humorous follows: my older daughter goes to the same university I went to. Same one Scott went to. Same university in which I lived with and matriculated with Scrote. Same one Scott's Dad went to. Same one where my youngest daughter is a freshman. So, on the first day of school, the youngest Purcell is sitting in class next to this hot guy. After repeated eye contact, the handsome young man asks her name. They crack up because they know each other but haven't seen one another recently. The new guy is Scott's son Brit. They share lunch. Scrotelicker's comments would be humerous if he were here :-)

The problem comes when people believe that either they know the absolute truth (which isn't possible unless they themselves are the source of that absolute truth), or that there is no such thing as absolute truth and so all things are equally true. Go chew on that for a while. Or not. Remember, these words are just some charged transistors sitting on a little computer somewhere in Canada. :-)
