Date: Friday October 17th, 2008 8:50 Comment 158282 E of email: @: plus I like my beaches clean, children educated, grandparents housed and cared for, the ability to go to the doctor with insurance if the boils on my ass flare up, some sense of a secure retirement, one ot two wars at a time at most, some help for the homeless, my highways paved, my ANWAR left alone, the sea level to only rise 7 feet instead of 20, my terror list with only 1 or 2 countries on it not 30, a safe mortgage, the lead content in the water kept to an acceptable level where I grow only 3 ears and not 5, some trees left in the forrest, managed bovines on federal land instead of free for all free grazing, trout in my clean running streams, fair treatment of my brothers coming across the border to build my house and pick my broccoli, cuban cigars available here in Idaho, sending troops only when necesary and not building up "acceptable" body counts while limiting benefits to the ones that protect us, body armor and humvees at the beginning of a conflict and not only when a hero soldier's mom camps out at my president's ranch and makes the decider look bad, seals on my ice sheet, pup seal skin on pup seals and not shoes in new york, whales in my ocean, jesus in my schools when it is decided by the families in those schools to have jesus there, pro choice instead of exclusively pro life, financial and environmental regulation, staffing of Departments with people who know the issues and nuts and bolts of the industries they are regulating and not people I just golf with, proactive federal responses to local emergencies, straight explanations of the balance of scarece resources and why decisions are made as they are, a sense that a brain is working in the most important position in the world, foresight and consideration for future generations and not just the stock price and dividend next thursday, cars that get more than 13 mpg highway because it's smart and not jus because Detroit doesn't want to be regulated (despite losing their shorts each and every year), solar energy research and federal spending on basic solar infrastructure at a fraction of what the federal government spends to subsidize petroleum, kidness to other cultures, international cultural relations that are complimentary to other countries instead of just forcing the American way on everybody......CRAP! That's jus what I can remember right this moment. I wish Katie Couric would ask me a few questions. My answer wouldn't be "...all of 'em!"

I do know that when I was at the fed doing cost allocation for like 60 depts with 2 separate codes each, pivot tables could have really helped me. Pivot tables just lets you see data in different ways without having to redo everything. Pretty slick, actually.
