T-BNE of SD email: @: Talk about cool dads........true story from last week….. Father tells 13 year old to find tickets for Taylor Swift….I think that is the name. So daughter goes on line and finds a concert in LA on Sept 29th. The only problem was it was $500 for 4 tickets. Dad said, you go girl. Girl orders tickets and waits for the order to arrive. It was last Wed or so when the ticks arrive, 2 days before the concert. When opening the envelope the question was “were is Louisiana California?” The ticks she thought were in LA, Cali, was n fact Louisiana, Haaaaaaaa!!!! So dad did not blink….he bought ticks to fly into dallas and had mom drive the rest of the way.......What a dad!!!

Dory D of San Francisco email: @: The boyfriend likes sushi, and he was looking for a good sushi place in my neighborhood. Not knowing any better, I suggested Godzilla (I remembered that a friend liked it). He didn't like it. I didn't either. We were neither impressed by the food nor by the restaurant itself. He discovered Tataki on his own one day, and couldn't wait to take me there. My first thought when we got there: holy cow, when did they get rid of Subway? Not that I ever went there. But it was amazing that all traces of the Subway that stood there before were totally gone, replaced by this lovely little restaurant. It's a really cool restaurant, with excellent service. We enjoyed the warm edamame, the miso soup, salad, ahi tuna poke, and my favorite, the shrimp tempura roll. I'm looking forward to my next visit here. I recently recommended Tataki to my nephew and his girlfriend, who were visiting town. They loved it, too.

As we were leaving we saw some people lined up at the stage door. Turns out she has quite the 'rainbow' following. Dudes lined up to get their Marie dolls autographed. The ameteur time because it was my first IM AND it was Canada which is way too close timewise for me (as a newbie) to go, plus, I knew that I wouldn't do anything spectacular there, and the second time, as a pro, I declined because I was burnt out from the sport and wouldn't have enjoyed it at all. :)
