Aero - That triple throws them off. I rode with a couple of the guys a couple of weeks ago. They made no mention of it nor did I see any wrinkled noses, especially since I was by fat the oldest fart there and close to the front on each climb and right behind them on the down hills. If you live in the Bay Area, you need good gearing. Or if you have friends who ride old stage routes in the mountains!!

Big weekend coming up. I am going to the United Healthcare Pro Cycling Team camp in Scottsdale this weekend. We get to ride with the big boys on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Doode each time I've gone to Hawaii I've left as a pale white boy who's ridden in arm and knee warmers for the past two months and have suffered like a dog in the hawaiian summer. So I reckon it would be preferable to visit in the Northern Hemi winter so at least the temperature differnce from NZ to Hawaii is not so EXTREME for this white boy. January or Feb could be quite nice. Say on a northern facing coast. It would be the perfect opportunity to give my mother in law a boggie board and tell her "it always looks bigger than it actually is...GOOD LUCK!" :-)
